TAP-NY is partnering with Dragon Combat Club to host a self-defense training class – free of charge. DCC offers free, online, self-defense combative classes for beginners to address the ongoing violence to AAPI and minority communities since April 2020.

While DCC operates on a volunteer basis to bring remote and in-person classes to you, they are accepting donations to continue supplying the AAPI community with defensive gear (this includes tactical flashlights and pepper spray). Donations are welcome via Venmo: @Hen-Zee.

COVID-19 Policy

We are requiring that all attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with second dose or booster shot within the last 6 months . We will check for proof of vaccination (Excelsior Pass, COVID-19 vaccination card, NYC COVID Safe App, NYC Vaccination Record, or photo of COVID-19 vaccination card) at the event and will refuse entry if you do not comply with this requirement.

TAP-NY creates events for everyone to feel welcome. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment, unwanted touch, and discrimination. If someone is making you uncomfortable, please let a TAP-NY board member know.
