TAP-NY is excited to partner with Brooklyn-based Taiwanese artist Ines Sun to host a calligraphy workshop at Pencilnyc Studio! We will learn basic calligraphy strokes as well as phrases from Chinese poems. The workshop will conclude with tea and time for socializing.

I grew up in Taiwan and never liked calligraphy as a child. Not till later in life, did I realize how useful and interesting calligraphy can benefit my life. I started to share the joy of writing in 2019 and offered many online workshops during lock down. Through artistic approach, everyone can learn how to use calligraphy to balance our busy life. Pencilnyc Studio provides a relaxing environment in which to learn and unwind after a long week at work.
