Break the Silence: Addressing Mental Health Stigma among Asian Americans
May 23, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EDT
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and TAP-NY is teaming up with the Asian Google Network to host a talk on mental health among Asian Americans. What is mental health? Why are most Asian Americans silent when it comes to mental health issues? What is mental health stigma, and how is it different in the Asian American community?
Hong Ngo, Ph.D. will share data and research addressing these questions, as well as ways we can help fight stigma in the Asian American community. The talk will generally be in a presentation format, with plenty of opportunities for questions and group discussions.
Email Julie Shen at [email protected] with any questions.
