Join TAP-NY out on the waters in a Dragon Boat paddling event! Dragon Boat racing is a fun, adrenaline pumping, water sport deeply rooted in chinese culture where teams of up to 20 paddlers (not including a drummer and steersperson) race in long boats adorned with dragon heads and tails.

For this event, we’re excited to partner with Metro Athletic Dragons (M.A.D) for an afternoon out on the water. The M.A.D team will be teaching our group all the essentials of Dragon Boat racing and how to paddle – no experience is needed to join!

M.A.D is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established under the Metro Asian Cultural Exchange (M.A.C.E). They were established in 1997 as one of the pioneers of dragon boat racing in the United States. Their paddlers have competed all across the world, domestically in cities such as New York, Boston, Washington D.C, Hartford, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, etc and internationally in Hong Kong, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Rome, and Macau.
