Tell us about yourself! It can be about anything – where you grew up, your professional background, your hobbies, etc.
I grew up in Chicago. I am a programmer.
Why did you join TAP? What are your favorite events?
During the coronavirus lockdown, it was a good way to play board games online. I enjoyed playing Codenames and Skribbl.io. I also enjoyed the cooking program with Asian American cookbook authors. It was different that one author put vegetable dumplings in kimchi stew.
Tell us something cool that happened to you this past year.
The AT&T store had set up their store like the set of Friends to commemorate the anniversary. I saw Monica’s door. It was also set up like Central Perk, with the big coffee cups. I was able to hold a guitar the way Phoebe does when she sings “Smelly Cat.”
What’s your favorite Taiwanese food and why?
I like hot lychee oolong tea from Vivi Bubble Tea because it brings back warm memories of the fruit I ate as a child.
What’s your advice for newer members who want to get more involved?
Bring a friend.
