TAP-NY x DIEMlife Classy Music Benefit [Livestream]

March 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

TAP-NY is excited to bring live music to your home as you are practicing social distancing! If you’re looking for weekend plans inside, join us for a classy afternoon of music. Yoo-Sun Park, former Juilliard violinist and SLT instructor, will be livestreaming a violin performance of classical and contemporary pieces, which may include Pachelbel’s Canon, Cinema Paradiso, Forever Young, and Meditation from Thaïs (we may take requests too!).

Yoo-Sun is also a Co-Founder of DIEMlife, a digital platform that is changing the way people achieve goals. Yoo-Sun is leveraging this platform to run a fundraising campaign supporting those financially impacted and unprotected during this global event that is COVID-19. With the precautionary measures being taken (closed venues and social distancing), freelancers and independent contractors like most fitness professionals (aka fitpros) are losing work with no classes, clients, gigs, business, income, or paid time off for the unforeseeable future. No one could have predicted the fast effects of COVID-19 and for people who are in the service industry, this is a huge blow that will be felt financially even after the virus is contained, which could be months.

Yoo-Sun has been generously dedicating her time via this fundraiser with the goal of offseting some of the income lost for her fellow fitpros, performing artists, and service people affected financially. This might not help pay for all their bills but the hope is, it will help everyone survive this crisis better together.

While it is free to register for this livestream, we ask that you give what you can to support those financially impacted by COVID-19. Click the link here and discover how you can share your knowledge and resources for those dealing with the impact of COVID-19, donate to the cause, and share this fundraiser with others. DIEMlife covers all standard operating costs and processing fees for this campaign.

*Livestream details will be shared closer to the date. This session may be recorded.

More about Yoo-Sun
Hi, I’m Yoo-Sun. Studying violin at Juilliard taught me how to channel my passion through self-discipline and precision, and I have applied that spirit throughout my 20-year career as a professional coach and teacher.

The rigors of Juilliard and two decades of helping people meet their professional goals, achieve their fitness ambitions, and get their relationships back on the right footing were just barely enough preparation for my most important client. Baby K recently accepted, however grudgingly, the challenge of eating his carrots and making that goal a reality. Moms, we’re in this together.

More about DIEMlife
One person’s daily routine is another person’s epic Quest. Whatever our struggles—with physical wellness, with mental health, with finances—there are countless others who are dealing with the same things, and still others who have conquered them. DIEMlife brings a community of support to those who need it most, online or in person.

In DIEMlife, goals are described as Quests: dedicated web pages that let members name their ambitions, create plans for accomplishing them, and receive the support they need from a large and growing community. Quests are shared on each user’s terms: with a selected friend or two, with anyone with similar experiences, or with the entire community.

This blend of structure and support is enhanced by a full suite of event and fundraising features designed to turn goals into achievements. We’ve helped members with serious mobility problems get up and finish 5k races. We’ve helped organizations grow their membership lists and set new fundraising marks. And we’d like to keep helping while we are all in this uncertain moment in time.
