Power of Mentorship: A Panel with TAP-NY & BBBS [Virtual]
August 27 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Is there someone you look up to in life that has helped you navigate through difficult times? Are you looking for ways to give back to your community? TAP-NY and Asian Mentoring Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC (AMC BBBS) are teaming up to raise awareness and discuss the power of youth and professional mentorship. This month, we are bringing a range of different mentors together for a panel discussion to help drive conversations, encourage mentorship, and increase engagement within our communities. Learn more about mentorship and how you can become a mentor too!
*This panel will be hosted as a Zoom webinar – link to be shared to registrants prior to the event.
About Big Brothers Big Sisters:
Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. With the mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth, BBBS also has specialized mentoring programs like The New American Program (NAP). NAP helps children from immigrant families overcome the unique obstacles they may face while navigating culture, language, and customs different from their home environment. The committee also supports current mentees through a series of group outings set up to help develop a sense of community.
