Microaggressions.  What are they?  How do we recognize them?  How can we deal with them?  Join TAP and Asian American Federation (AAF) for a small group discussion on microaggressions.  Joo Han, Deputy Director at AAF, will lead our discussion and share research by AAF on microaggressions.  Come join the conversation!

AAF is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of underserved Asian Americans through leadership and advocacy.  Visit AAF’s website for more details on their work: http://www.aafederation.org

Joo Han is the Deputy Director at AAF, managing a number of youth, education, and capacity-building programs to support AAF’s 65 member agencies and advocate for the most pressing needs of NYC’s pan-Asian community.  She is particularly passionate about AAF’s work to highlight the mental health issues impacting the Asian community.  Prior to AAF, her work included teaching, managing human resources and organizational development, and empowering teens and adults to develop their agency and education in order to face the systemic injustices they encounter today.
