TAP-NY is teaming up with the Global Language Project to bring a small cultural festival to underprivileged students in Harlem! We’ll spend the afternoon playing Chinese yo-yo, doing arts and crafts, and writing calligraphy to allow the students to experience something new and fun. This is a great way to meet other passionate individuals who care about the community and to spread cultural awareness while having a good time.
Global Language Project (GLP) is an educational movement that seeks to equip underprivileged public-school students with the skills to compete in a globalized world and work force. GLP provides a free language program to elementary school students in Harlem so that they can have an opportunity to achieve proficiency in a secondary language.
Please email Betty at email@example.com if you’re interested in volunteering.
