For people in Taiwan, summer means the coming of Ghost Month – a time to commemorate those who have passed, burn incense, and avoid unlucky situtations. But in award winning Taiwanese American novelist Ed Lin’s newest work, “Ghost Month,” protagonist Jing-nan’s summer puts him at the center of a murder mystery involving betel nut girls, New York City, and an old flame.
On Friday, August 1st, Ed, in collaboration with the Asian American Writers Workshop will present his new novel at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office at a “Ghost Month Night Market.” Come out to grab a bite, hear about the book, and support Asian Americans in the arts!
