“Concerts in Central Park are one thing that make summer in New York City special. This year, for the first time ever, New York City’s SummerStage program will be hosting three artists from Taiwan, for an evening of good clean music outdoors. Best of all, it’s free and open to all.

The concert, Taiwanese Waves, is a chance for Taiwan to really show its talent, so come on out for a good time and tunes! Among the artists performing:

安溥 Anpu (張懸 Deserts Xuan): One of the most prolific and popular Taiwanese indie artists ever, Deserts Xuan brings a refreshing and soothing sound that’s earned accolades all over Asia.

旺福軍方專頁 Won Fu : A “folk-rock” band that can wield a diverse set of genres, Won Fu combines different styles for an eclectic sound.

落日飛車 Sunset Rollercoaster: A Taiwanese band considered to be an icon of Taiwan city-pop, the themes of their songs range from love to even psychedelic experiences.

This concert will take place on Saturday, July 16th, from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, at the Rumsey Playfield (enter on the east side, at 72nd Street).
